2012-2013 Annual Report

Stone and Glennon

Aloha,

It is with great pleasure that we share and celebrate this past year’s accomplishments:

¨      First and foremost, Full Life received a three-year CARF accreditation (Council on Accreditation of Rehabilitation Facilities).  This achievement requires a committed, knowledgeable and dedicated staff.  The Full Life staff demonstrated all of this to the accreditation team.  Congratulations to the staff and mahalo to all the families, participants, and board members who participated in the survey.

¨      The board of directors responded to the need for more office space by approving expansion of the Hilo office and moving the Kona corporate office to a larger space in Kailua Village.  The Learning Center in Kainaliu doubled in size, with the addition of the old corporate office space.

¨      Of the participants and family members that responded to our feedback survey in April, 100%  are satisfied with the services they receive from Full Life.  One family member said, “Everyday our family is grateful for Full Life.  (The team that supports our family member) is sincere, genuine, loving and professional. Whenever we call the office, we get assistance. To me, the “Administration” is the backbone that holds it all together and in an upright position. Please give our gratitude and love to our Team, Stone, Office Staff, and the Board.”

¨      Full Life’s Employment Services and Supports are a success.  We are entering into an exciting partnership that will transform employment supports for individuals with disabilities on Hawaii Island.  A Department of Health Case Manager, responding to our feedback survey said, “Hands down, (Full Life’s) Employment Services is the tops on this island.  There is a vote of confidence among us that the Employment Services is on the right track, with the right feel, and with the right results.  I feel confident when families choose Full Life as a provider.  I know the participants will get the appropriate services.  You can learn more about our Employment Supports on page 5 of this report.

¨      Full Life continues to attract stellar Direct Support Workers.  Our Direct Support Workers, supported and supervised by our Program Coordinators, are out in our communities every day supporting individuals in leading self-determined lives.  We honor some of our Direct Support Workers on page eight (8).

We are looking forward to another year of successes and thank you for your support.

Glennon Gingo, Board Chair and
