Within a year of being part of Full Life’s Employment Services Program, which included a period of skills and interests assessment, Maya Gonya successfully established her micro-enterprise in the natural body care industry!   Her creative, professional and experienced Employment Direct Support Workers supported her in exploring her potential, leading to her business name “MAJA’S MAGIC”!

Maja’s Magic lip balm and body scrub are the first in a line of all natural, hand crafted body care products.  Maja’s natural body care products combine ingredients which include a variety of essential oils.   The rest, as they say, is “Magic”.  Maja’s, polite kindness, her genuine smile, and a love of all things social are imbued in her quality products.

The ‘Magic’ in Maja’s Magic perfectly describes its name sake.  Never without a smile, Maja has embraced the ‘Aloha’ of Hawai’i since her arrival on the Big Island in 2010.  Her journey to the ‘magical’ islands of Hawai’i began 9,000 miles away in London, England where she was born. Maja loves to participate in the many activities unique to the Hawaiian Islands and hope to learn the Hawaiian language and to dance the Hula.

When not working on her micro-enterprise, Maja volunteers at the Full Life Hilo office, as an office worker, to gain skills in competitive integrated employment!

Maja’s goal of selling her product at the very busy and colorful Farmer’s Market in Hilo has come true.  Stop by her booth on Wednesdays, between 8am-2pm!   In fact, Maja’s magic has expanded to the Full Life Thrift and Gift store in Kona, and has also started selling her products in the Abled Hawai’i Artists AHA808 Etsy store.
