Full Life is always looking for dedicated, self-motivated and skilled Direct Support Workers for both our East and West Hawaii locations. Current part-time and full-time opportunities are in Hilo, Kona, Honokaa, Waimea, Waikoloa, Hawi, and Puna.

Applicants must have a high school diploma or GED, pass a criminal and traffic clearance, drug screen, two-step TB test, CPR, First Aid and have a valid driver’s license, clean driving record, safety inspection certificate, and auto insurance.

Part-Time RN Service Supervisor (Kona and West Hawaii)

Full Life, a Hawaii non-profit supporting individuals with developmental disabilities, seeks a Part Time Registered Nurse Service Supervisor to coordinate care for participants in West Hawaii. Position averages between 5 and 10 hours a week. Paid hourly plus reimbursement for mileage. Reliable personal transportation is required.Duties include:Develop and oversee nurse delegation plan for each direct support worker performing deligated tasks as defined in the Medicaid Waiver ContractMedication management – applies to medications that are self-administered, assisted with, or administered during the time the participant is receiving paid waiver services.Complete weekly medication assessment, dispensing, and storage.

Remove medications from home as appropriate

Complete site supervision visits, document on supervision notes

Attend Individual Service Planning (ISP) meetings and assist in the development of individual plans (IP)

Review/write quarterly reports documenting progress toward the outcomes of the IP

Update medical protocols as needed

Update Medication Administration Record as Needed

Ensure that there is a current physician’s order in participant’s chart for all medications that staff assist participant with

Train all Direct Support Staff on medication assistance

Report any adverse conditions/events to Program Director
