Applicants must have a high school diploma or GED, pass a criminal and traffic clearance, drug screen, two-step TB test, CPR, First Aid and have a valid driver’s license, clean driving record, safety inspection certificate, and auto insurance.

Administrative Assistant (Kona)

Administrative Assistant

* Receptionist duties such as greeting visitors and answering phones
* Recruiting and conducting initial interviews with job applicants in West Hawaii
* On boarding new hires with paperwork and orientation
* Payroll tasks including receiving, reviewing, and routing time sheets
* Finance support such as entering bills, reviewing employee reimbursements, receiving checks, filing financial documents
* Program service support such as tracking documentation, entering data, creating documents and copies, filing and routing program reports and data
* General office support including data entry, filing and maintaining files (physical and electronic), archiving records, ordering and purchasing supplies, assisting with creating procedures to ensure efficient operations
* Facilities management including maintaining the office and office equipment
* Assisting the Executive Director with taking meeting minutes
* Special projects supporting Program Supervisors, Finance staff, and/or the Executive Director
* Other duties as assigned

The schedule is Monday – Friday 40 hours a week. Occasional weekend or evening hours for special events.
Must have current computer skills including: Outlook, Word, Excel, etc. Must be willing and able to learn Microsoft SharePoint.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills and strong organizational skills. Must be able to manage multiple projects and work under deadlines.

Part-Time RN Service Supervisor (Kona and West Hawaii)

Full Life, a Hawaii non-profit supporting individuals with developmental disabilities, seeks a Part Time Registered Nurse Service Supervisor to coordinate care for participants in West Hawaii. Position averages between 5 and 10 hours a week. Paid hourly plus reimbursement for mileage. Reliable personal transportation is required.Duties include:

Develop and oversee nurse delegation plan for each direct support worker performing deligated tasks as defined in the Medicaid Waiver Contract

Medication management – applies to medications that are self-administered, assisted with, or administered during the time the participant is receiving paid waiver services.

Complete weekly medication assessment, dispensing, and storage.

Remove medications from home as appropriate

Complete site supervision visits, document on supervision notes

Attend Individual Service Planning (ISP) meetings and assist in the development of individual plans (IP)

Review/write quarterly reports documenting progress toward the outcomes of the IP

Update medical protocols as needed

Update Medication Administration Record as Needed

Ensure that there is a current physician’s order in participant’s chart for all medications that staff assist participant with

Train all Direct Support Staff on medication assistance

Report any adverse conditions/events to Program Director

DIRECTOR OF PROGRAMS (Island Wide – based in Hilo)

Full Life is seeking a Director of Programs to oversee and bring leadership to the development, implementation, operation and administration of all programs and services that support individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities and other disabilities throughout Hawai’i Island.  The Director of Programs is responsible for staffing, training, programming, maintaining operating budget, and leading a professional team.

We are looking for a Director of Programs to provide energy, excitement, and leadership during a period of transition in the State of Hawaii’s Medicaid Waiver Program and related employment services.

Minimum Qualifications include:

Must have a minimum of two years of supervisory experience, a Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university in social sciences or education and one (1) year of experience working with individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities; or Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university in another field with two (2) years verifiable experience working directly with individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities or the elderly; or RN licensed in the State of Hawaii.  Master’s degree preferred.

The ideal candidate will have a history of progressively responsible management and supervision experience in providing services to people with disabilities. A working understanding of the Hawaii Medicaid Waiver Program and Employment First initiates is helpful.
