Josie “The Jokester” Publishes First Jokebook: Laughter is Blind

Full Life assists people with developmental and intellectual disabilities live self-determined, full lives!

With the assistance from her passionate Full Life Employment Direct Support Workers, Josie was empowered to followed her dreams! In addition to working, she started her micro-enterprise making pot holders. Through Full Life Prevocational Services Discovery phase, Josie started writing her jokes on paper which evolved into performing her first stand-up comedy act at t he Abled Hawai’i Artists ( ‪#‎ AHA2016‬ ) 8th Annual Art Festival. As if that wasn’t enough, Josie pushed herself further, resulting in her very first published book- “Josie ‘The Jokester’ Jokebook: LAUGHTER IS BLIND”.

With the assistance of Mar Ortaleza , who administers Full Life Hawaii Employment Services Program ( ‪#‎ teamjosie‬ ) , Josie is currently working on new material for the upcoming #AHA2016 9th Annual Art Festival on Saturday, July 23, 2016 at the Prince Kuhio Plaza, 10am-3pm. The largest celebration of the Americans with Disabilities Act in the Hawaiian Islands, this All inclusuve event celebrates abilities and promotes self-employment in the arts!
