2013 Final Drumming Social – Hilo

Aloha Supporters of the arts!

What an amazing time we had at our last Drumming Social!  Thirty-one people showed up and learned Taiko drumming!  A big mahalo nui loa goes out to Paul Sakamoto and his group Puna Taiko.

The next and final one for 2013 is on Friday, October 25, 2013.  Hawai’i County Parks & Rec will be providing some instruments and assisting with registration, Full Life and AHA will be providing chalk and face/body painting supplies through art donation from The Dreaming Zebra Foundation.  Quinn Nelson of Puna Kamali’i, will be sponsoring “Aloha Friday” lei making activity!

WHEN:  Friday, October 25thth 2:30-5:00  Mohouli Park

Participants will Listen, Learn & Play basic percussive beats, followed by a community drumming circle where participants integrate what they learn in a community inclusive social setting.  Achieve social skills and strengthen peer supports.
